Paths and Landscapes in the Apuseni Mountains

The Apuseni Mountains are situated in the north-west of the country. Although the highest peak is only 1848m (Cucurbata Peak) the attraction consists in a unique combination of wildness and rural civilisation, the Apuseni Mountains beeing characterized by picturesque landscapes with houses and hay piles scaterred on the most often karstic plateaus, many of them split by wild gorges.
